This year we are doing SonQuest Rainforest for Vacation Bible School. Come and explore the jungle through our rain forest themed décor. SonQuest Rainforest offers Bible based teaching presented in an exciting format. It is based on five parables told by Jesus that will make a difference in their lives every day!
During our Bible Discovery Time kids will learn about the following:
· Monday: GET IT! Parable of the Sower. Learn what it means to be “good soil” for God’s Word.
· Tuesday: GET FOUND! Parable of the Lost Sheep. Jesus death and resurrection make it possible to experience God’s love forever.
· Wednesday: GET GOD’S LOVE! Parable of the Good Samaritan. God’s love is so amazing that it motivates us to love Him AND others.
· Thursday: GET PRAYING! Parable of the Midnight Knocker. No matter what our circumstances, we can pray to God & He will hear and help us.
· Friday: GET GOING! Parable of the Loaned Money. God made us in wonderful ways so we can love Him by serving others.
A typical day at VBS includes Outpost
Opening Assembly- an exciting gathering complete with lively songs, a missions’
moment and prayer. Then it’s off to rotate through four fun stations-Bible
Discovery –grades will meet individually with a teacher (Bible lesson), Jungle
Games (like Rainfall Relay and Quicksand Search ), Canopy Cafe Snacks (like
Sheep-made from pretzels and marshmallows and Dirt-pudding with crushed cookies)
and Tree-mendous Treehouse Crafts (like a snow globe and a rain stick). We’ll
end each day with a closing Outpost Assembly complete with an awesome skit!
